About the role:

Registered Nurse, working in a Generalist Community Health role. Part of Community Health Multidisciplinary Team to provide effective quality care for patients/ clients with in Canowindra and surrounding districts.

Working with a small nursing team to provide generalist nursing care with a wide variety of patients and clients, focusing on maintaining independence and wellbeing within the community.

Community Health forms part of the Canowindra Health Service team- providing multidisciplinary, patient centred and high quality care to our patients. The team is professional and friendly and you will be a welcome team member.

Where you’ll be working:
Canowindra has a recently redeveloped and renovated rural health service with 15 beds. The emergency department is brand new and the staff enjoy working with the latest equipment in a facilities that is fresh, airy and bright. Services provide include, 24 hour emergency care; acute and sub-acute/non-acute inpatient services, rehabilitation, palliative care and outpatient services. A range of primary and community health care services are also provided from a Community Health building in the centre of town.

Canowindra is located approximately 320 kilometres west of Sydney and 220 kilometres north of Canberra. It’s a commutable distance from the popular regional city of Orange, approximately 45 mins away.
