What you'll be doing

To facilitate access to consistent, timely, compliant, accurate, reliable and confidential medical information in support of patient services and to inform responses to Legal Requests. The preparation of quality, timely, compliant and efficient information to inform response to Legal requests relating to medical records under broad supervision

AN ELIGIBILITY LIST FROM THIS RECRUITMENT ACTIVITY MAY BE CREATED FOR FUTURE VACANCIES

  1. Demonstrated experience in successfully working within a complex unit, particularly within a health related field or environment requiring interpretation of medical records and competing demands.
  2. Demonstrated experience using a patient administration system (PAS) in a hospital environment and Microsoft Office applications or the ability to quickly gain proficiency in new technology..
  3. Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised and prioritise workload in a busy environment together with the ability to organise tasks and work within timeframes.
  4. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff including medical staff and other health workers, both verbal and written demonstrating an understanding of the impact actions has on others.
  5. Experience in the preparation of highly sensitive material and adherence to confidentiality together with a sound knowledge of NSW privacy legislation and NSW MOH policy and procedures with regard to the release of information to patients and third parties.
  6. Experience in, or understanding of, the application of procedures in identifying escalation pathways consistent with governance requirements
