What you’ll be doing…

You will complete a Certificate III in Dental Assisting over 12 months through a combination of formal training with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and practical on-the-job experience with the Host Employer.

Throughout your formal training and practical experience in the workplace, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Assist in clinical and administration duties
  • Comply with Australian standards and policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Follow up clients by phone
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness of the clinic and treatment rooms
  • Make appointments and enter data
  • Provide chair side assistance during oral health procedures

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have the following:

  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Commitment to both on and off the job training
  • A can-do attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work safely and follow instructions
  • A demonstrated interest and passion for working in the dental and health industries
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic computer knowledge and usage skills
  • Awareness of privacy and confidentiality needs within the health industry
  • Ability to follow strict procedures and maintain a high-quality hygiene standard
  • Demonstrated honesty, empathy, and respect for others
  • A trustworthy, professional, and reliable work ethic
  • Willingness to undertake a Working with Children Check
  • Willingness to undertake a National NSW Police Check
  • Current drivers licence and reliable transport
