The Centre Manager is a key leadership position within the headspace team - providing oversight to the
coordination and delivery of services and responsible for the overall quality development and delivery of
WMQ's headspace Hervey Bay parent centre and headspace Maryborough satellite site. The incumbent will
provide operational management to both centres and contribute to the growth and development of evidence
based and innovative clinical and non-clinical services and will ensure the delivery of services that are of the
highest quality.

Essential Criteria: * Approved Tertiary Qualification in Nursing or Allied Health discipline including Social Work, Psychology,

Mental Health Nursing and Occupational Therapy with at least 2 years management experience. * Current full registration or eligibility with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)

or current full membership or eligibility with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW),
depending on Qualification. * Demonstrated experience working in a leadership role in youth services
  • Advanced level of clinical skills and demonstrated experience in a range of mental health service
settings inclusive of Youth Mental Health. * Experience in complex clinical triage, assessment and allocation of referrals.
  • Experience in service development and maintaining continuous quality improvement.
  • Proven ability in the leadership of multidisciplinary teams, including the provision of clinical supervision
and the facilitation of clinical review and performance management processes. * Highly developed verbal and written communication skills: and an excellent track record in building and

maintaining effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders. * Ability to work in a highly productive environment with time pressures whilst managing multiple tasks.
  • Advanced computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, electronic recording systems and
data management tools. * Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a productive team member.
  • Current Drivers Licence and willingness to drive in the course of work.
  • Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ policy.
Key Responsibilities Include: * Provide operational management to the headspace Hervey Bay parent centre and headspace

Maryborough satellite site and act as a key link between WMQ, the consortium, PHN and hN. * Communicate, promote and progress the vision and strategic plan of the headspace centre amongst

consortium partners and the broader community. * Engage relevant sectors and partners in an integrated model of care, promoting multidisciplinary

teamwork and participation in the headspace program at a local level. * Monitor and lead the ongoing development and improvement of headspace services including clinical and

enhanced models of service. * Maintain high quality clinical skills through involvement in direct service delivery and supervision.

Provide leadership in the development and implementation of new projects and initiative. * Develop and review clinical governance and practice documents and processes to align with best

practice. * Manage recruitment, resources and rosters in a flexible and an efficient manner to effectively manage

workflow and to ensure timely and responsive service delivery. * Contribute to organisational planning, budgeting and reporting processes.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders involved in the provision of health, mental
health, and psychosocial services to young people.
