Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking dynamic and highly motivated Medical Radiation Scientists to join our team at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital!

Do you have the ability to perform a wide range of medical imaging procedures including ultrasound and radiographic duties, with a superior level of expertise in ultrasound scanning?

The Medical Radiation Scientist principal role is to provide an imaging service for our clients in the most efficient, effective and professional way. The MRS is responsible for the welfare and safety of patients, staff and the public.
 
 
This position will be rostered to the Fetal Medicine and General Ultrasound Departments. This is a Permanent Full Time or Part Time role, minimum 2 days per week (8 - 4pm, or 9 - 5pm). The eligible candidates must be available to participate in the on-call roster. 
 
 
To Be Considered For This Role You Must Have:

  • Degree in Medical Radiation Science (Diagnostic Radiography) or equivalent qualification accredited by the Australian Society of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (ASMIRT) and General Registration with AHPRA.
  • Possess a Postgraduate Diploma/Master in Medical Sonography and be eligible for registration with Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry LTD.
  • Possess a licence to operate irradiating apparatus under the NSW Radiation Control Act.
