Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking a dynamic Registered Nurse to join our Stroke Services team at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital!

Do you have current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA)?

Do you have demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills within a multidisciplinary team?

In addition to the attached Position Description the purpose of this role is to assist in the coordination of stroke care in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team at RPA. This role will:-

  • Support both the Neurosciences CNC and Stroke CNC with care delivery and coordination of patients presenting to RPA.

  • Coordinate care of patients referred to Stroke Services presenting to RPA after hours including coordination of all ECR cases during these hours.

  • Respond to all acute stroke calls and work as part of the afterhours stroke team.

  • Provide data collection relating to all aspects of stroke care for patients presenting to RPA.

  • Assist in the implementation of best practice guidelines in the care of patients presenting to RPA.

  • Contribute to clinical trials and research as appropriate.

To be considered for this role you must have.....

The ability to participate in a rotating shift roster working Wednesday to Sunday - Wed, Thur, Fri 1500-2400, Sat & Sun 0900-1730
