About Music Therapy at Monash Health

The Music Therapy service is integrated across Monash Health, providing clinical services in paediatric and adult inpatient, mental health and community services, operating across Monash Medical Centre, Monash Children's Hospital, Dandenong and Casey Hospitals and the Kingston Centre. We form part of a dynamic allied health team and are committed to a patient centred, evidence based practice and supporting staff to continue their career development and lifelong learning.

This temporary part time position consists of 45.6 hours per fortnight, available for a Grade 1 Music Therapy clinician and forms part of our Grade 1 rotation program. Rotation opportunities may include acute paediatrics, Victorian Paediatric Rehabilitation service, sub-acute adult rehabilitation and acute adults. Ongoing supervision and professional development opportunities are provided.

You are a dynamic Allied Health professional who is passionate about making appositive contribution to the health of your patients. Described as enthusiastic and motivated to perform at your best every day, you demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

What you need:

  • Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Music Therapy from an approved training course;

  • current membership and registration with the Australian Music Therapy Association (AMTA) Inc.;

  • current ARIA Music Therapist Copyright & Reproduction licence
