Bethanie, Western Australia’s leading not for profit aged care and retirement living provider, has been warmly welcoming and caring for seniors for over 65 years. We currently have a vacant position at Bethanie Waters Aged Care Home in Port Kennedy for a Registered Nurse on a casual basis working a variety of morning, afternoon and night shifts across the week. Bethanie Waters is a modern and welcoming 160 bed facility offering a secure area for local residents with dementia and associated conditions.

Working closely with management, our Registered Nurses are responsible for clinical care and case management across the facility.

This role requires experienced Registered Nurses who are dynamic, flexible and able to demonstrate strong leadership & interpersonal communication skills to all staff. This is a hands-on role, in which you will lead and develop the team to ensure the delivery of high-quality care to all clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure nursing care is delivered in a safe and effective manner, while providing direction to Enrolled Nurses and Care Workers
  • Complete assessments and / or admission requirements
  • Ensure care plan changes reflect any change of a care recipient’s condition
  • Maintain an effective referral system to senior nursing staff, medical staff and/or allied health staff
  • Ensure that clinical records reflect care, in line with all accreditation standards and legislative requirements
  • Provide coaching/mentoring/training to staff along where required
Requirements:
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse
  • Relevant clinical experience in an Aged Care environment, including a solid understanding of the Aged Care Accreditation Standards
  • Knowledge of, and experience with ACFI documentation
  • Ability to lead and work as part of a team
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good computer skills, with confidence to use Microsoft Office packages and clinical information systems
  • Clinical report writing skills
  • Willingness to uphold the vision, mission and values of The Bethanie Group
  • A current police clearance or willingness to get one
