Insight Exercise Physiology has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and suitably qualified Exercise Physiologist to join our vibrant, friendly and supportive team, with full administrative support.

We are a leading provider of Exercise Physiology in the Central Coast / Newcastle / Hunter regions with a variety of client types including Medicare, DVA, NDIS, Work Cover and Private.

You will join our fantastic team of accredited exercise physiologists, conducting consultations in our various clinic locations, as well as providing home and gym/pool consultations. There is also the opportunity to conduct group sessions as part of our Gentle Exercise class programs.

We are offering a 5 day casual position (or 2 x part-time casual positions) with most work being on the Central and some in the Newcastle/Hunter region. No evening or weekend work required. Attractive hourly rate, plus travel allowance.

Your role will include, but not be limited to:

  • Implement evidence-based interventions to guide assessment, treatment, consultancy, referrals and discharge of clients
  • Supervise and prescribe individual and group exercise programs
  • Maintain accurate records for all client interventions, including and not limited to assessment/s, treatment and evaluation
  • Motivate clients to achieve personal goals and improve their health

This position requires:

  • Bachelor degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, or equivalent, with a masters /graduate diploma in Exercise Physiology
  • Full membership and be currently accredited by Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA)
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Strong focus on client outcomes
  • Ability to grow client list and liaise with referrers
  • Professional written, oral and verbal communication skills, including computer literacy.
  • Current NSW driver's license and reliable vehicle
  • Current First Aid & CPR certification
  • Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Public Liability and Professional Indemnity insurance
  • Work Cover approved with a provider number (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Ability to work flexible hours
