Fixed Term Full/Part Time
(80 hrs per fortnight) with ADO

We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse to assist with leading our dedicated, new COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic. This temporary full time position is available immediately until September 2021, with possible extension. The Team Leader will provide a visible and accessible leadership within the COVID-19 Vaccination space. They will provide supervision to the nurse immunisers and other vaccine clinic health professionals. The successful applicant will oversee administration tasks, promote the COVID-19 Vaccination and is responsible for managing clinical risk and implementing systems and processes to improve the patient experience and outcomes. This position is based in Horsham, but will require travel to vaccination centres within the Western Sub-Hub when required. 


Key Selection Criteria include:


Essential:



  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse, with no practicing restrictions

  • Qualified Immunisation Nurse with at least 6 months experience

  • Completion of the compulsory COVID training modules for authorised immunisers or willingness to complete

  • Current BLS certification

  • Current anaphylaxis certificate

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated ability to build a team that are motivated and committed

  • Demonstrated ability to identify and deliver on education and developmental needs of staff

  • Demonstrated ability to be innovative, resourceful and adaptive to change

  • Ability to think strategically and deal with complex problems

  • Demonstrated knowledge of professional standards, legal and ethical requirements

  • Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and person centred care

  • Drivers Licence


Desirable:



  • Minimum three years clinical experience as a nurse
