About South 2 – Subacute Rehabilitation at Monash Health


Monash Health is the largest public health service in Victoria, employing over 18,000 people across a range of specialities.


The Kingston Centre plays a vital role in the community providing aged care, aged mental health services & highly regarded rehabilitation programs for adults of all ages. We provide a range of specialist health care and support services to older people.


South 2 is a 20 bed Subacute Rehabilitation Ward providing care and assistance with recovery for a diverse range of patients who have been in hospital and require complex interdisciplinary interventions.


About The Role


South 2 currently has opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to join the team. The position is part time fixed term until 31st Jan 2022 (64 hours/8 shifts per fortnight) and you would be required to work across a 24/7 rotating roster including morning, afternoon and night shift.


Your strong clinical skills will be regularly demonstrated as you undertake complex discharge planning, complex wounds, address continence and catheter issues to see that all patients are treated with dignity and respect whilst in our care.


About You


With broad experienced as a Registered Nurse, you understand the importance of patient centred care. You have a genuine interest in working and interacting with our diverse patients who, at times can demonstrate challenging behaviours and support them with daily functions.


Your critical thinking, willingness to learn and ability to work cohesively and share knowledge within a team will see you excel in this role whilst we provide you with guidance, support and training to learn the rhythm of rehabilitation.

What You Need:



  • Experience in a rehabilitation environment or acute aged care (desirable)

  • Australian working rights

  • Current AHPRA registration

  • Current Working with Children’s Check
