About the Role
The Occupational Therapy Department is seeking an Allied Health Assistant to work at Kingston Centre, (sub acute) at Monash Health, on a permanent basis. Working in other clinical areas, as well as across other Monash sites may be required.
The Allied Health Assistant is responsible for working within the Occupational Therapy department, and other Allied Health departments as required, to assist therapists in the provision of best practice patient centred care and support the smooth operation of the Occupational Therapy department through clinical and non-clinical duties.
One role will be located on the GEM unit, and the other on a combined GEM/Movement disorder unit.
About You
You are an experienced and passionate Allied Health Assistant who enjoys working in a sub acute setting in a fast paced environment.
You have strong communication skills, easily engage and develop rapport with patients and team members, and strive to provide best care for patients.
What you need:
- Certificate III (Allied Health Assistant) or equivalent
- Current driver's license
- AHA experience in sub acute hospital setting (desirable)
- Experience in movement disorder if applying for this role (desirable)
