Charter Australia is a registered training organisation (RTO ID 41038) specialising in professional education and training for both domestic and international students. Our courses include qualifications in Health and Community Services and English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students (ELICOS).

Established in 2005 as a training provider for project management in the not-for-profit and public sectors Charter has grown to become a specialist training company in Health and Community Services and ELICOS. Our strong links with local aged care providers give our students valuable work placement and employment opportunities. Furthermore, we offer an exciting and unique program in which working holiday visa holders can obtain a Certificate III in Individual Support packaged with an ‘English for Healthcare and Nursing’ course, plus introductions to potential employers upon graduation.

Main Duties

  • Delivery training and assessment for CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support and/or CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support courses.
  • Plan training and assessment sessions to ensure the required resources are available to support the delivery.
  • Deliver and coordinate training in accordance with the requirements of the training strategy using training methods that progressively instil knowledge and skills into students.
  • Coordinate student work placement and provide supervision and assessments during work placement.
  • Undertake own professional development
  • Contribute to the Charter Australia systematic approach to continuous improvement.
  • Participate in Charter Australia assessment moderation and validation activities
  • Contribute to the development of training and assessment materials when required.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Suitable industry related qualification in nursing, aged care, community services and/or Leisure and Health with at least 2 years' experience is preferred
  • Nursing and aged care industry currency
  • Current Training and Assessment experience
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116
  • Valid Driver's License
  • A valid current Police Check within the last 12 months
  • Willing to travel when required.
