Under the supervision of a clinical senior professional, you will contribute to the delivery of a comprehensive and integrated range of Orthotic and Prosthetic services in the Flinders & Upper North Region. Managing your own clinical caseload and an outreach clinic, you will work across the clinical areas of Inpatients, Surgical, Medical, High Dependency, Rehabilitation, Outpatients and Day Surgery. With experience, you will provide support to your peers and contribute to the supervision of work experience students and Allied Health Assistants. Utilising service prioritisation and eligibility criteria where they exist, you will also participate in CDU, HRF, Fracture and other clinics as relevant to your caseload. This is a unique opportunity to provide Orthotic & Prosthetic services in the Mid North, Far North and Western part of South Australia. Working for Flinders and Upper North Local Health Network, you will enjoy exposure to broad range of conditions involving treatment related to Orthotics and Prosthetics, whilst working within a supportive team environment.

You will need to hold a recognised qualification in the Orthotics/Prosthetics profession, and be eligible for full membership of the Australian Orthotics/Prosthetics Association. With some prior experience in the manufacture of orthoses and prostheses, you will apply client-centred practice and community engagement principles in the provision of services, ensuring clients are meaningfully involved in all aspects of their care. Capable of ensuring the efficient and effective use of materials and resources, you will bring the ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Screening/Check and specific immunisation requirements.
