About us

Aspiration Education and Development Clinic (AEDC) is an NDIS registered provider and a tertiary referral clinic that specialises in the treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, as well as more generalist concerns (Anxiety, Depression, etc). AEDC is part of the National Early Childhood ILC Working Group, dedicating in research and evidence-based early intervention.

Qualifications & experience

  • Minimal 2-years experience working with children with ASD and their families
  • Minimal 1-year experience in therapist supervision
  • Strong organisational abilities
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision in program delivery
  • A high level of motivation to learn and progress in the field
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal)
  • Strong time-management
  • Ability to collaborate professionally within a team
  • Efficient computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint with typing accuracy
  • High attention to detail
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and families
  • Ability to take initiatives and assist the overall efficiency of the practice

 Tasks & responsibilities

  • Conducting client intake and relevant curriculum assessment (e.g. VB-MAPP, developmental checklists)
  • Providing evidence-based School-aged services to clients following individual goals
  • Facilitating evidence-based group intervention programs (e.g. Westmead Feelings Program, Secret Agent Society)
  • Developing and implementing individual intervention plans (e.g. type of therapy, frequency, duration)
  • Maintaining accurate records of client attendance, appropriate case notes and other necessary forms
  • Participation in team meetings, research projects, and practice quality processes as required
  • Co-supervising therapists (i.e. mobile and in-clinic) with Clinical Supervisor to ensure adherence of program delivery
  • Preparing individual clients' progress reports
  • Research effectiveness of intervention, and contribute to continuous professional development within the clinic
  • Liaising with family and health professionals involved on the clients' multidisciplinary team
  • Making appointments
  • Responding to administrative enquiries, such as NDIS and Medicare
  • Assisting in client interview, interacting with children for a short period of time as required
  • Researching/ preparing handouts, presentations, etc.
  • General reception duties – answering phone, billing, filing, etc.
  • Improving the overall efficiency of the practice (e.g. preparing files, replenishing stock)
