National Office based in Armadale, Melbourne | Reporting to the National Risk Manager (Clinical) | Full Time Permanent Role

We are excited to expand our passionate Strategy, Quality & Improvement Team at Regis Aged Care with this exciting new role. We are looking for an energetic individual who is able to apply their nursing skills and clinical decision making to the triaging, escalation, reporting, follow-up and investigation of clinical incidents.

The opportunity

Reporting directly to National Risk Manager (Clinical), you will be responsible for supporting best practice systems and processes for clinical incident management across Regis.

Key Responsibilities In The Role Include

  • Triaging, escalating, communicating and following up on reported clinical incidents;
  • Undertaking and supporting clinical file review and incident investigations;
  • Facilitating and monitoring the mandatory reporting of incidents to external bodies, such as the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission;
  • Supporting the provision of information as relevant to clinical incidents to external bodies, such as the Coroner;
  • Supporting, coaching and educating staff on clinical incident management; and
  • Supporting the analysis of incident data and assisting in the development of necessary governance reports.


The Ideal Candidate

About you
  • Is a Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
  • Is able to undertake the role full time, noting that some regular, scheduled weekend work will be required
  • Is able to confidently apply their sound clinical decision-making skills to the triaging, escalation, follow-up, analysis and investigation of clinical incidents
  • Has a solid understanding of clinical incident and open disclosure principles and processes
  • Is able to collect, analyse and interpret data
  • Is a clear communicator
  • Works in a collaborative and constructive way with staff across all levels of the organisation
  • Is extremely organised and manages competing priorities well
  • Has strong computer literacy skills
