The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Certificate III in Dental Assisting - preferable but not essential or qualified dentist degree
  • Japanese speaking preferable
  • Experience in Dental Reception would be preferable but not essential
  • Efficient infection control to ADA standards
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to clean and sterilise instruments and equipment
  • Stock control within the surgery
  • Polite, respectful and professional behaviour towards patients and staff
  • Proficient in Dental 4 Windows and MS Office applications
  • Experience with pouring models and basic laboratory tasks
  • Familiar with Dental photography and retraction
  • Exhibit confidence and skill in chair-side assisting
  • Experience in developing film xrays and use of digital radiography
  • Ability and willingness to work in a team
  • Efficiently work under pressure
  • Positive upbeat ‘can do’ attitude. Self driven.

Job Type: Casual

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Experience:

  • receptionist: 1 year (Preferred)

Work Eligibility:

  • Permitted to work temporarily with restriction on hours (e.g. 40 hrs/fortnight) (Preferred)

Duties:

  • Providing chair-side assistance (e.g. handing equipment to dentists, spraying and suction)
  • Assisting with administrative tasks as needed (e.g. billing, maintaining patient records)
  • Routinely maintaining and sterilising equipment
  • Assisting with front office tasks as needed (e.g. reception)

  • Sorting and sending mail
  • Answering and routing phone calls
  • Managing social media

Financial Duties:

  • Submitting insurance claims
  • Processing payments
