About the role
Mater Research is searching for an experienced Clinical Research Coordinator to join our growing Neuroscience Trials team at South Brisbane. Reporting to the Program Coordinator for Neuroscience, Dr Matthew Spitzer, this role will be offered for a 12-month period. There is flexibility for this position to work 0.8 FTE or full time.

Salary: Mater Research Level 8 $93,187 - $104,637 + super + salary sacrificing
What you'll be doing
In this important role you will assume primary responsibility, under direction of the Principal Investigator, for the coordination of clinical trials in Neurology and related disciplines, including epilepsy, dementia, migraine, neuroimmunology and mental disability. You will have the opportunity to work with researchers and practitioners at the forefront of clinical Neuroscience, and will be supported by a team of experienced clinical research staff. You will be required to have an in-depth knowledge of the nursing practices in neurology or related disciplines, human research ethics and research governance requirements. Key responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing compliance with clinical research protocols and ICH GCP guidelines, under direction of study Principal Investigators
- Coordinating recruitment of participants to clinical trials
- Coordinating and delivering the care of Neuroscience clinical trial patients as per specific protocol requirements
- Coordination of trial related activities and performance of study assessments
- Coordination of study administration, including reporting and data management
- Supervise and coordinate research activities of research team staff members, including research nurses, data managers, research assistants and administrative assistants.
You will have proven experience in a management role with demonstrated success leading a team to successful outcomes. Additionally, you will possess the following:
- Current ICH GCP certification.
- Experience in implementing and conducting clinical research in compliance with ICH GCP guidelines
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal skills necessary for negotiating and liaising effectively with a diverse range of staff, patients and other stakeholders
- Knowledge of data management systems
- Advanced computer skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
