About Nutrition and Dietetics

Nutrition and Dietetics is part of the multidisciplinary team providing a comprehensive range of specialist surgical, medical, allied health and mental health services. Dietitians deliver services to inpatients, speciality outpatient clinics and dedicated dietetic-led clinics. There are professional links with Dietitians working in all services across Monash Health bed-based and community services.

About the Role

The position provides high quality, patient-centred, evidence-based clinical service including nutrition assessment, nutrition diagnosis, intervention, education and discharge planning to ensure the current and future needs of our patients and their families are met.

The Grade 2 Dietitian works across a range of clinical areas and collaborates as part of a multidisciplinary team.

This position is required to participate in the weekend and public holiday roster (one in four weekends).

About You

You are an experienced and dynamic Dietitian who is looking to extend your clinical experience and supervisory skills in a fast-paced environment, within a supportive team.

What you need:

  • Proven clinical experience working autonomously in acute inpatient care.

  • Proficient prioritisation skills and demonstrated flexibility in managing day to day caseloads.

  • Commitment to best practice and emerging skills to become a clinical leader.

  • Experience as a clinical supervisor that has developed Grade 1 and Student Dietitians in a clinical setting.

  • Experience working within a multidisciplinary team

  • Eligibility for full membership as a Dietitian of the Dietitians Association of Australia and APD program

  • 2 clinical referees

  • Current Drivers Licence
