St Andrew’s is a 240-bed facility with eleven state of the art operating theatre suites, a 28 bed cardiac unit, an 18 bed critical care unit, emergency department, angiography suite, chest pain unit, an extensive new procedural suite with day of surgery admissions, and arguably, South Australia’s most comprehensive private cancer care facility.
With over 30,000 procedures being performed each year we cater for most surgical specialties including, but not limited to, cardiothoracic, neurosurgery, vascular, urology, colorectal, orthopaedics, breast and gynaecology and the busiest (da Vinci) Robotics unit in Australia.
About you & the role
We are seeking a dedicated and engaged Registered Nurse with significant experience in Anaesthetics and/or Recovery nursing to join our high performing team. We are ideally seeking applications from all-rounders with at least 3 years' experience in both Anaesthetics and Recovery areas or from those candidates with 5 years' experience in solely Recovery.
In addition to your experience, you will need to demonstrate:
- a commitment to delivering best practice patient care
- well-developed organisation and prioritisation skills
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- commitment to your continued professional development
- the ability to maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders
- significant experience in a similar fast-paced environment
- current registration with AHPRA and the ability to legally live and work in Australia
Competency with airway management skills is essential and ALS current competency is desirable. The full position description can be viewed here
Hours & Pay
These positions are for a minimum of 60 hours per fortnight up to full-time with shifts rostered Monday-Friday with on-call and weekend standby as required. Rate of Pay will be determined by years' of experience according to St Andrew’s Hospital Inc., Nursing Employees and ANMF Enterprise Agreement 2018 (base rate between $32.88 - $45.21 ).
