AEOIU Foundation currently operates across ten across in QLD and South Australia, with a new centre opening in Canberra in July 2021.

The Position:

This is an exciting opportunity to support children with autism aged 2 - 6 years. You will operate within an early learning framework and providing high quality specialist therapy support for children with autism spectrum disorder, their families and carers.

We have positions available in Townsville and Bundaberg.

The role will be working within a therapy team, contributing to individual plans to support children to maximise their cognitive and social capabilities, and to reduce or eliminate maladaptive behaviour. The Behaviour Analyst provides training and supervision to team members in their area of expertise including how to conduct assessments and deliver behavioural interventions. 

You will ensure the clinical program is implemented effectively, and children are best supported to meet their therapy and education goals.

You will join a transdisciplinary team of peers in Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology and Early Education. About you:

  • The successful candidate is ideally a Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA), however, candidates who have completed a Masters in Applied Behaviour Analysis or who are studying towards their BCBA qualifications will be considered.
  • Autism-specific experience is desirable; however, we will provide you training and support within the framework of this role.
  • You hold a current valid Blue Card (If you do not hold a current blue card you will need to apply for a combined NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance and current Blue Card before you can start).

Whilst local candidates will be given priority, AEIOU is open to international candidates and visa support will be considered.
