We currently have a part time permanent opportunity for an experienced Day Club Assistant to join our team at Club Alexander Heights Community Centre. As a Day Club Assistant, you will be responsible for implementing and facilitating small group activities and outings for Day Club clients, along with the provision of personal support and care to clients as directed and guided by care plans.

The successful candidate must be able to speak to Vietnamese and available to commit to the shifts outlined below;

Week 1

Monday 0800 - 1600

Week 2

Monday 0800 - 1600

Your duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to;

  • Working closely with management, staff, clients and their families to achieve appropriate care outcomes whilst displaying the Amana Living 3Rs culture - The Right People, doing The Right Things, The Right Way
  • Providing direct care to clients in accordance with documentation and care plans
  • Development and implementation of therapeutically appropriate activities for clients
  • Driving a 12-seater vehicle to transport clients to and from outings
  • Attending and actively participating in compulsory meetings and training sessions under the direction of the Club Coordinator
  • Complying with and adhering to Amana Living policies and procedures


  • Vietnamese speaking
  • Previous experience working in aged care, ideally in a Day Club environment
  • Recognised therapy or community services qualification (Cert III/IV)
  • Demonstrated experience driving a 12-seater vehicle (or similar) in a previous role
  • Previous experience working with people living with dementia
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to provide a National Police Clearance less than 6 months old, or a receipt at interview stage
  • Ability to successfully complete a physical assessment
