The Position
St John of God Berwick Hospital are currently seeking an experienced Orderly to join the Theatre team. As an orderly you will be responsible for the provision of quality patient care through the safe transport of patients within the hospital and maintaining a tidy, clean and safe environment.
The position is varied over a number of different shifts. Responsibilities include efficient delivery of service with commitment to quality and productivity. This fantastic opportunity will be offered on a Permanent part time basis, working 60 hours per fortnight. Applicants with previous experience in a busy healthcare setting are encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate will have:

- Interpersonal skills – ability to relate to hospital staff, patients, families and medical staff.
- Well developed organisational skills, with the ability to manage own workflow and effectively prioritise competing demands.
- Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised.
- Excellent communication skills – oral and written.
- Extensive mobility and physical ability to lift.
- Experience in industrial cleaning activities.
- Customer Focus
- Ability to work as a team member with excellent work ethics
- Ability to work extra shifts or different shifts if required.
