The Position

Raphael Services are a community based service that provides free specialised mental health services to parents and families in the perinatal and infancy stages up to a child’s fourth birthday.

We currently have a fixed term opportunity available for an enthusiastic and motivated Mental Health Clinician (Clinical Psychologist, Psychologist, Mental Health Registered Nurse, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist) to join our multidisciplinary team.

It is essential for applicants to have relevant Registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia, Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse, Social Worker with mental health credentialing with the AASW or as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.

Experience working with parents, experiencing psychological, social and psychiatric problems during the perinatal period will be highly regarded. Registered Nurses must have experience working in mental health.

Services are provided at a variety of locations. These currently include Blacktown, Hawkesbury and Mount Druitt at The Granville Centre. The successful candidates must be able to travel to all sites.

This position will be offered on a 12 month full time basis, working 76 hours per fortnight.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
  • Experience/ability to provide a range of psychotherapeutic interventions to individuals, families and groups.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Valid Driver’s licence with the ability to provide services in a variety of locations.
