As one of the largest health services in Victoria, and a team of more than 10,000 strong, we provide a comprehensive range of specialist medical, surgical, and mental health services; as well as rehabilitation, aged care, outpatient and community programs. We are a designated state-wide provider for services including trauma, and we lead centres of excellence for tertiary services in several key specialties including neurosciences, nephrology, oncology, cardiology and virtual health.

 
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to join our Nursing Workforce and Professional Practice Unit. This is a Part Time, Fixed Term position, working 48 hours per fortnight, based at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, City Campus.

Your new team

The Nursing Workforce and Professional Practice Unit is part of Nursing Services at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. The Nursing Workforce and Professional Practice Unit functions and activities provide leadership and strategic direction for nursing at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. These activities include; nursing workforce planning and development, informatics and analysis, workforce development and project management.

Your success in this role, will be in your ability to

  • Provide leadership and strategic direction in nursing workforce planning, workforce development informatics and analysis and project management
  • Contribute to the achievement of the RMH vision, Advancing health for everyone, everyday by demonstrating commitment to the Melbourne way of People First, Lead with Kindness and Excellenece Together
  •  Support the nursing workforce planning across all areas of RMH and effective people management strategies that attract, recruit and retain nursing staff and ensure that nursing develops as a leading clinical profession
  •  Work collaboatively and support the nursing services activities including, nursing education, nurse bank, nursing research and EMR to meet and deliver on the RMH Nursing Services Strategic Plan

Your Contribution

  • You hold a Registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
  • You are an influential leader with experience at management level
  • You are able to communicate with a diverse stakeholder group
