Where you'll be working
The Hand Therapy Unit is a specialised multidisciplinary unit that provides a service to inpatients and outpatients. The Hand Unit is a state-wide specialist, multidisciplinary (medical, allied health and nursing) quaternary service that has a focus on the management of traumatic hand injuries of a complex nature. 

What you'll be doing

To provide a high level of Hand Therapy services within the role and function of Sydney and Sydney Eye Hospital.

  • Meets relevant tertiary qualifications standard as outlined below For Physiotherapists: Current registration with the Australian Physiotherapy Board within the AHPRA For Occupational Therapists: Current registration with Occupational Therapy Board of Australia within AHPRA.
  • Post-graduate Hand Therapy experience
  • Post-graduate experience in casting and orthosis fabrication
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively utilise a range of written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing education
  • Demonstrated commitment to clinical improvement activities
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
