An exciting fixed term opportunity currently exists for multiple enthusiastic and customer focused COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic Patient Services Assistant to join our COVID-19 Vaccination Program Clinics in a part time or full time capacity.

The fixed term positions will run from March 2021 until October 2021 with the successful applicants having negotiable/stagered start dates

The COVID-19 Vaccination Program is run in conjunction with the DHHS to provide the approved COVID-19 vaccine to staff in the North East Region of Melbourne. Austin Health will be operating two clinics across the Austin Campus and Repatriation campus to ensure that demand for the vaccine can be met.

The COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic Patient Services Assistant performs the role as outlined in the position description to maintain the high standards of infection control and prevention in the clinics with roles ranging from cleaning, waste management, patient movement, restocking of supplies and other duties.

To be successful in this role you must demonstrate/Key responsibilities will include:

  • PSA Certificate - Certificate III in Health (Patient Services)

  • Willing to work in a hospital environment with sick people

  • A flexible, innovative and team orientated approach to service delivery

  • Willingness to carry out all PSA duties and tasks and work in a team

  • Ability to use initiative and to prioritise tasks and problem solve

  • Physically capable of undertaking the full range of PSA duties

  • Basic verbal and written English skills

  • Well developed interpersonal skills and team orientated approach

  • Flexibility in working hours and location
