The Role

As a Resident Medical Officer (RMO), you will be providing medical care to patients under the supervision and guidance of the hospital’s senior medical officers. You will gain exposure to a wide variety of clinical cases and have the support and leadership of experienced specialists and senior registrars.

A base salary of $87,559-$108,465 is available, plus 9.5% superannuation and additional penalty rates and overtime entitlements.

The Hospital

You will be working at the region’s major public hospital, providing care to over 250,000 people across southeastern Australia. It’s a 600-bed teaching hospital, a major trauma centre that’s home to many leading national research institutions.

About You

To be eligible for this position, you must currently hold registration with AHPRA. That might be general, provisional or limited registration however the hospital can only support level 2 supervision or above.

You should also have:

• A sense of adventure
• Adaptability and flexibility to accommodate change and provide responsive services to meet patients’ needs
• The ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment
• The ability to effectively communicate with a diverse range of people
