JOB DESCRIPTION

ABOUT THE ROLE: 

An exciting opportunity is available for a Senior Physiotherapist to provide clinical leadership to our physiotherapy team of 4 physios and 2 AHAs working in a rural public hospital setting. The team provides physiotherapy services in hospital and community settings. Enjoy working across a varied caseload, building specialist clinical skills and leading the PT team to meet organisational aims. Young is a lovely relaxed rural wine and cherry region in NSW.

  • Our physio service delivers quality, client-centred physiotherapy assessment and treatment across subacute inpatients, acute inpatients at district hospital, outpatients and community settings.
  • Build and enhance your clinical skills across a rural generalist caseload working within a fun and positive large public hospital based Allied Health team. Strong district physio network links.
  • Opportunity to specialise into area of interest; support is available for professional development for specialisation including plastering, paeds, lymphodema, geronotology, musculoskeletal and womens health.
  • Hospital subsidised accommodation available.
  • Supervise and support junior therapists, allied health assistants and students. Opportunity to build leadership skills - new leaders encouraged to apply.
  • You will facilitate efficient running of the department, education and quality improvement projects.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Current AHPRA registration and Degree in Physiotherapy
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Physiotherapist
  • Current Working with Children and Police Record check; evidence of leadership skills (desirable); experience in either rehabilitation, musculoskeletal, neurology or gerontology in a hospital setting (preferrabie); Current drivers licence
  • A commitment to utilising and developing specialist skills in chosen areas such as paediatrics, women's health, rehabilitation and plastering
