SACARE has a rewarding opportunity for a part time Registered Nurse to join our dedicated, multidisciplinary Clinical Service team. As a qualified Registered Nurse Trainer & Assessor, you will be required to work across multiple sites and locations in collaboration with the Clinical Nurse Educator and Manager of Clinical Services to aid with the successful delivery of training packages, accredited courses and/or customised industry courses. In addition, you will provide clinical support to all community clients and their team by undertaking care plan assessments and appropriate follow up to ensuring all clients’ needs are being met.

This role is for a 12-month contract with the opportunity for review. The hours will be negotiable ranging from 0.8 FTE with a view to full time.

All candidates must be able to demonstrate:

  • Capacity to interpret guidelines effectively, plan, deliver and review training programs and assessment tools
  • An evident passion and commitment to the Disability sector
  • Build rapport and engage with a diverse range of individuals
  • High level verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of presentation and organisational skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment & collaborate with others 
  • Ability to work with diverse backgrounds and adult learners
  • Highly organised
  • Confident with communication with the ability to engage & motivate clients

 To be considered for a position within the SACARE family, you must have

  • Bachelor of Nursing with a minimum of 3 years’ experience 
  • Current registration with AHPRA
  • Cert IV in Training & Assessment or willingness to undertake within 2 months of commencement.
  • Current DHS Disability Clearance & Working with Children Check. 
  • Current and unrestricted South Australian Driver's License
  • Satisfactory completion of Child Safe Environments training or willing to obtain 
  • Current Manual Handling
  • Current First Aid
  • Certificate IV in Mental Health or previous experience dealing with Mental Health Clients 

Desirable traits:

  • Previous experience in Disability or Aged Care
  • Knowledge of NDIS and other Governing bodies
