We have the exciting opportunity for a Senior Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team!

We work with Children who have a variety of neurological and developmental disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Global Developmental Delay and Genetic Disorders.

About the role

This position is for a Senior Occupational Therapist who has experience working within a paediatric setting.

You will work alongside our allied health team to provide individual and joint assessment and therapy interventions with a mixed case load ranging from infants to teens.

You will be responsible for providing comprehensive assessments, tailoring and implementing custom programs for each child and liaising directly with clients and their caregivers.

The role involves delivering services both in our clinic and as a mobile service at clients home, school, childcare setting or community swimming pool.

This role is perfect for a an experienced Occupational Therapist who is looking to develop leadership skills. You will be offered support and training to mentor junior therapists, supervise students, assist with service development, monitoring service delivery, assist with equipment budgets and deliver in-house professional development.

Are you the right fit for us?

We are looking for a highly passionate and experienced Senior Occupational Therapist with the following skills/attributes:

  • Bachelors Degree in Occupational Therapy or Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Eligible to apply for Medicare Provider Number.
  • Minimum experience of 4 years within the paediatric industry.
  • Experience mentoring junior therapists or willingness to undergo training.
  • Willingness to attend leadership courses and ongoing leadership mentoring.
  • Valid driver's licence and access to reliable transport.
  • DSCI or working with children clearance.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Must be able to work some after school hours.
  • Must be friendly, great with children, a people's person and most importantly FUN!
  • Have AHPRA registration.
