POSITION SUMMARY:
The Deputy State Controller Health Management (Quarantine) is a member of the senior leadership team with COVID-19 Quarantine Victoria (CQV). Within a complex and dynamic environment, this role is responsible for leading the health management for Victoria's quarantine program, focusing on operationalising the broader public health directions set by the Chief Health Officer (CHO) within hotel quarantine settings, managing infection prevention and control, and testing and contact tracing for staff and residents in the Hotel Quarantine program .
The Deputy State Controller Health Management (Quarantine) is a senior clinical leadership role providing authoritative health advice to a wide range of stakeholders involved in Victoria's quarantine program. The Deputy State Controller Health Management (Quarantine) will also be responsible for exchanging information and data with the Department of Health for all matters relating to public health within the quarantine program.
As the Deputy State Controller Health Management (Quarantine), you will participate in activities to ensure the health needs of all return travellers are met, minimise the risk to staff, and ensure the clinical health management of Victoria's quarantine program is safe, consistent and effective.
The position oversees three streams of delivery including New Cases and Contacts, Health and Resident Wellbeing and Compliance, Infection Prevention and Control comprising approximately 250 staff. The remit of the role also includes international air crew, interstate arrivals, emergency accommodation and may also cover major events.
Please note that the successful applicant will be initially employed by the Department of Health, however, will transfer to CQV shortly after commencement.
