JOB DESCRIPTION

An exciting opportunity exists for an energetic self-motivated Speech Pathologist to join the Department Student Support Services (SSS) workforce to provide comprehensive Speech Pathologist service to schools and students in the Outer East Team, North East Victoria Region.

Student Support Services (SSS) assist children and young people facing a range of barriers to learning to achieve their educational and developmental potential through the provision of a range of strategies and specialised support at individual, group, school and network levels.

SSS comprise a broad range of professionals including psychologists, speech pathologists, and social workers. SSS staff work as part of an integrated health and wellbeing team within networks of schools, focusing on providing group based and individual support, workforce capacity building, and the provision of specialised services.

In this role you will provide high-level professional advice to schools that strongly influence student learning outcomes and wellbeing policies within a school community, and the wider Area. 

SSS staff do vital work in supporting students' health and wellbeing - particularly our most vulnerable students - and SSS are critical to building an excellent education system that reduces the impact of disadvantage.

This position is based within the Student Support Services in the Outer East Team, North East Victoria Region.
