The Role

The Navy Psychologist position is located in HMAS Albatross (Nowra), and works within Navy Health Services. The position is responsible for delivering a range of operational and organisational psychology services to Navy Command and personnel, including mental health screening, selection and psychological assessments. The position delivers mental health training and programs to Navy personnel, and provides psychological advice to Command and Health professionals. The position also provides support to organisational performance programs.

The Navy Psychology team at HMAS Albatross (Nowra) comprises of high-performing civilian and uniformed psychologists, and is a valued element of the overall Navy team. The Navy Psychologist role strengthens the Navy workforce by delivering best-practice resilience and mental health programs, and by working with Navy leadership to optimise members’ performance.

  • High-level experience in providing a range of organisational psychology services, psychological assessments and mental health training;
  • Experience liaising with Health professionals and stakeholders to achieve mental health outcomes;
