About the Role

• The existing Genetic Counsellor team consists of highly experience senior manager with a friendly team-based approach
• You will be one of two senior counsellors providing supervision to between 2-3 junior counsellors on the pathway towards HGSA certification as well as Masters of Genetic Counselling students on clinical placements
• Provide consultative advice to GP's and specialists and other allied health professionals regarding
• Contribute to strategic planning, lead research, and participate in ongoing professional development to satisfy ongoing HGSA registration
• Commitment to quality and safety through ongoing development and implementation of safety improvement initiatives
• Experience with Family Tree software and Bespoke highly regarded

About You

• Membership with HGSA or eligible to receive with appropriate international experience
• Two year Masters degree in Genetic Counselling in Australia or recognised overseas institution
• Strong knowledge across genetic disorders and genomic testing in all sub specialities
• At least three years' experience working as a genetic counsellor and at least one as a senior counsellor
