About the role:
Belmont Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic Waitlist Coordinator to provide efficient and effective secretarial and administrative support services for the Surgical Waitlist and Admissions Area, and others as directed. The successful applicant will be supported in this role with training available for systems and a general orientation upon commencement.

Where you'll be working:
This position is based in the Admissions Area of Belmont Hospital in its own unit alongside the Booking Clerk which works under the supervision of the Waitlist Coordinator. The role is Monday to Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm and reports formally to the Administration Manager but has most contact with the Theatre Nurse Unit Manager 3, the Outpatients Nurse Unit Manager 1 and the General Manager.

Belmont is located on a sandy peninsula 20km south of central Newcastle. Belmont sits beside the beautiful Lake Macquarie. Featuring secluded bays, protected foreshores and nearby beaches, relaxing in, on or by the water is a way of life with swimming, snorkelling, surfing, scuba diving, fishing, boating and wind sailing all popular past times. All of this an hour and a half’s drive from Sydney! An educational centre for the area contains four primary schools, four secondary schools and Hunter Institute of TAFE. Accommodation options are also well catered for with options beside the water or on the nearby hills for city or suburban living.

About you:
You are an organised individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively prioritise. You will have strong time management skills and a knowledge of waitlist management and an understanding of specialties and hospital scope.
