About Department
St Vincent’s BreastScreen aims to reduce the morbidity and mortality due to breast cancer through the early detection of the disease. The program adheres to the values of St Vincent’s health which reflect the mission of BreastScreen Victoria to strive for excellence, collaboration, access, acceptability and improvements in detection and treatment of breast cancer.
About the Role
Perform screening and assessment mammography and associated quality assurance at St Vincent’s BreastScreen and its associated screening site, The Rose Clinic David Jones Women’s store in Bourke Street Melbourne.
Classifications for this position will range between AG1 - CW5 ($81,328.00 - $93490.80 per annum - pro rata for part time)
Duties
- Maintain a high standard of screening mammography with particular regard to client’s individual needs.
- Perform equipment quality assurance tests as specified by BreastScreen National Accreditation Standards (NAS) and Royal Australia and New Zealand College Radiologists (RANZCR) requirements.
- Perform adequate work-up views and stereotactic biopsy including vacuum assisted biopsy.
- Work within accreditation requirements of BreastScreen Australia and RANZCR.
- Maintain a high quality service, including required QA procedures and timely reporting of quality/maintenance/operational issues.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Australian Institute Radiography recognised Diploma or Degree in Medical Radiation Technology or equivalent
- Certificate of Mammographic Practice (CMP) or equivalent
- Current licence under the Radiation Protection Act 1982 to operate irradiating apparatus in Victoria
- Current AHPRA registration if applicable
