Our client is located in one of Australia’s most beautiful coastal locations with idyllic tropical islands on your door step and a relaxed way of life. This is a large regional city with a local population of over 60,000 and a regional population of over 120,000. The local area has a developed infrastructure including great private schools, shopping, restaurants and the beautiful natural tropical surrounds.
The Hospital
The hospital has recently enjoyed a major overhaul and expansion doubling the number of beds to over 300 which makes it one Australia’s largest regional healthcare facilities. This is now a state of the art fully modern health care facility.
The hospital is also accredited for training with a number of the colleges and provides the following specialist services to the local community:
O&G, Paeds, ED, Orthopaedics, Anaesthetics, ICU,; Coronary care, Psychiatry, Aged Care, Renal Medicine, ENT, Ophthalmology, Palliative Care & Day Surgery.
The hospital also operates the following clinics: Dermatology, Oncology, Orthopaedic, Neurosurgical, Neurology, Liver, Diabetic, Urology, Surgical, Medical, Renal, Pacemaker, Cardiac, Haematology, Ophthalmology & Wound Management. The hospital is also closely affiliated to the local and regional medical school so academic opportunities may be available.
The Role
As this is a regional location they are in need of an experienced FACEM who is happy to work in a ED department. In saying that and depending on your sub specialty interest you should be able to work in your area of interest for at least 20/30% of the time.

To apply you will need to have completed one of the following:
- The FACEM
- Your full specialist training in the UK, USA, Canada or Ireland.
- Have had your specialist training assessed by the ACEM and have been found to be comparable.
