About The Role

As an Internal Quality Assessor, you will ensure key compliance risks and requirements are being managed for each care home. You will be required to build strong and trusting relationships with the Risk and Compliance team as well as external risk business contacts. You will need to be able to work independently to manage the internal audit program for your homes.

You will need to be flexible with travel, as you will be required to visit our care homes across the state.

Duties

  • Conduct a program of audits to ensure all aspects of service delivery meet the relevant standards
  • Identify and report and areas of risk through audits
  • Clearly express supporting evidence in writing
  • Present ideas effectively in individual and group settings
  • Work to agreed priorities, outcomes and time constraints to achieve these goals
  • Assist care homes to deliver on items on their improvement plan and actions raised following the audits in collaboration with local staff
  • Identify opportunities of best practice and share this information to the wider group
  • Keep abreast of the current developments in the ever-changing face of aged care
  • Liaise with key stakeholders – ie. Regional and General Managers, Clinical and Quality Consultants

Skills And Experience
  • A minimum of 4 years auditing experience
  • Previous experience auditing within the aged care industry
  • An understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes
  • Registered or Enrolled nurse, preferred but not essential
  • The ability to travel across the state to care homes, as this is part of the role
  • Well organised, self-sufficient and able to work autonomously
