The Division provides catchment-based area mental health services, in addition to a number of regional and statewide specialty services.

HOPE - Psychosocial Support Officer - Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Specialist

Hours per week: 22.8

Flexible rostering arrangements including after hours and weekend work

An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic Psychosocial Support Officer (PSO) with experience of working within Drug and Alcohol services to join our Hospital Outreach Post-suicidal Engagement (HOPE) program. The service provides tailored, holistic support to people post a suicide attempt with the aim of supporting the person and their carers and families to identify and build the protective factors that reduce the risk of suicide and/or repeated intentional self-harm. The position works in collaboration with a HOPE Senior Clinician to implement the goals and strategies developed in the Individualised Case Management Plan in partnership with clients and their carers/families.
