In Gippsland we have new opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to join the busy team on either a full or part time basis.

Reporting to the Nursing Manager and working alongside a dedicated multidisciplinary team you will provide high quality, Intervention Radiology and recovery services to the clinic.

Key accountabilities include:

• Scrub/scout for complex diagnostic and radiology procedures, including monitoring sedated patients in our registered theatres.
• Assist the Radiologist for interventional procedures, including gaining informed consent and medical history assessment, monitoring baseline observations and recovering patients post procedure.
• Interventional Procedures Include: Insertion/Removal of Central Venous Access Devices, Angiograms +/- Embolisation, Biopsies, Lumbar Punctures, Drainages and Pain Management Injections.
• Working collaboratively with Radiologists, Nuclear Medicine Physicians, technical and administrative staff and managers

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Full AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
• Proven acute nursing experience
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively and autonomously within a multidisciplinary team
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Well-developed time management and organisational skills
• Ability to work a flexible roster
• Advanced Life Support qualifications

Desirable but not essential:

• Previous Experience in Radiology/Surgical/Procedural Nursing
• Anaesthetic Experience
