An exciting permanent, full-time opportunity is available to be part of a friendly, high performing team of researchers and veterinarians in the development of new animal health products across the globe. We are actively searching for a veterinarian with experience in farm and companion animals to provide hands on, practical veterinary expertise in the execution of R&D clinical studies.
As a Research Veterinarian You Will
- Provide hands-on execution of basic and advanced veterinary clinical techniques for the in-life phase of studies.
- Implement, supervise and maintain new and existing clinical models.
- Implement, manage and coordinate facility based and remote field site studies evaluating the efficacy & safety, and/or tolerance of animals, of compounds, novel formulations, or vaccines in accordance with VICH Guidelines & OECD Principles of Good Laboratory Practice.
- Provide practical training o n basic and advanced clinical procedures.
- Administration of veterinary medicines to study animals using a range application techniques, perform clinical assessments and collect biological specimens.
- Contribute in a timely manner to high quality study protocols/plans, SOPs and scientific reports.
- In collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, ensure biosafety and biosecurity standards and requirements are implemented and maintained on site, including training and documentation of biological risk assessments.
- Comply with all company local and global policies including EEO, anti-discrimination, harassment, and health, safety and environment (OH&S) policies.
- Degree in Veterinary Medicine.
- Demonstrated relevant industry experience, minimum of 3 years.
- Strong problem solving, diagnosis and analytical abilities.
- Basic knowledge of products, pests and diseases.
- Strong field and laboratory clinical skills.
- Physically capable and skilled in handling animals.
- Team player with a high level of written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to undertake local, interstate & international business travel.
- Ability to work additional hours as required.
- Fluency in English is essential.
