Emergency Department - Manning Hospital

Manning Emergency Department is a 13 bed unit with 2 resuscitation bays whom services the Mid North Coast community. Manning emergency sees over 30,000 patients per year and is a mixed paediatrics and adult unit. We offer state of the art equipment in a level 4 facility with diverse and friendly teams, as well as flexible shifts so you can achieve work/life balance.

About the role:
This role will see you apply your existing skills and knowledge for caring for critically unwell patients to improve quality outcomes. Manning ED has great education opportunities for all staff working within the unit and strongly promote engagement of all staff including practising in accordance with policy, procedure and CORE values. The successful candidate will receive 2- 4 supernumerary days depending on previous skill level working with senior members of the emergency team and our Clinical Nurse Educator. You will be assessed and introduced to the Manning emergency development plan and skill set, including planning pathways for future development.

About you:
The successful candidate will be a resilient and hardworking individual who can persevere in challenging and complex situations. You will have previous experience in an Emergency Department or critical care setting and possess knowledge of emergency KPI’s and how they can influence quality patient outcomes. Your excellent interpersonal and communication skills will be key in this busy, dynamic environment.
