In Australia, we operate two open cut and three underground metallurgical coal mines in Queensland’s Bowen Basin, every year producing millions of tonnes of the highest quality hard coking coal for this purpose. Job Description As the Occupational Hygienist you will be responsible for the facilitation of the site occupational hygiene and health monitoring activities and strategies. This opportunity will see you apply your current knowledge to coordinate and implement Safety & Health management systems to engage and support our site personnel and senior leaders. With the optimisation of our occupational hygiene management systems you will also aid in identifying and addressing safety and health related issues while actively monitoring the sites progress towards zero harm. With your extensive professional knowledge and highly developed interpersonal skills you will be able to guide, mentor and influence to ensure that Anglo American is at the forefront of industry performance in Occupational Hygiene & Health. Additional Information What do we offer?
- Tertiary Qualifications in a health-related discipline and or tertiary qualified in a relevant field with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Prior experience in health management in the Coal Mining Industry
- Recognised qualifications in Safety & Health Management Systems advantageous
- A sound knowledge of Queensland legislative requirements as well as Australian Mining & Resources sector experience and membership with AIOH will be highly regarded
