About the opportunity

As part of the Cowra
Mental Health Drug & Alcohol Team you will provide mental health
assessment, case management and therapy to adult mental health drug and alcohol

You will work
collaboratively with other health professionals, government and non-government
agencies. Providing outreach to Grenfell and Canowindra as required.

complex mental health needs requiring intensive intervention in a community

located 310 kilometres due west of Sydney, 92 kilometres south west of Orange,
110 kilometres south west of Bathurst and just over two hours from the nation’s

  1. Current Authority to
    Practise as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner
    Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  2. Demonstrated ability to
    practice in accordance with the Registered Nurse Standards of Practice,
    Code of Ethics for Nurses, and Code of Professional Conduct for Nurses
    (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia).
  3. Demonstrated effective
    clinical communication through the use of information technology, written
    and verbal means; and sound interpersonal skills including the ability to
    communicate with a diverse range of people.
  4. An understanding of patient
    centred care and demonstrated ability to work effectively both
    independently and as part of the multi-disciplinary health care team.
  5. Recent clinical experience
    relevant to the position and commitment to quality improvement, practice
    development and evidence-based practice.
  6. Demonstrated ability to
    lead, supervise, delegate, and negotiate with others to deliver quality
    nursing care.
  7. Demonstrated ability to
    effectively prioritise and organise workload and deliver care with
    integrity and accountability.
