A family friendly, flexible work place which enjoys and supports workers to achieve their best, you will enjoy the perks of working as an integral part of a dynamic community health team, providing mental health nursing services for the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network. Practising as an experienced Registered Nurse within a nursing model established to support patient centred care, you will assess individual patient needs, plan, implement and coordinate appropriate service delivery from a range of accepted options. Working on a 5 or 7 day roster which allows flexibility and a good work life balance, you will contribute to procedures for effectively dealing with people exhibiting challenging behaviours, undertaking mental health assessment and risk management. Other core duties will include collaboration with government and non government services, ED and hospital avoidance strategies, as well as referral to alternative community services. Registered as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, you will hold a current practising certificate. You must be enrolled in an approved Post Graduate Mental Health course or hold a Post Graduate qualification in mental health practice. With demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice, you will have considerable experience in community mental health assessment. You will bring experience in risk assessment and management, together with sound knowledge of alternative community resources and MH Act. Exhibiting a proven track record working effectively within a multidisciplinary team, you will be a confident relationship builder, with effective communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
